Lew Marsh is a newspaper man with an alcohol problem which leads him to lose his job.  He receives professional help from Charley Dolan.  He gets his job back after six years of being sober and helps other alcoholics as well.  Lew’s boss needs his help on sobering up his nephew, Boyd Copeland.  He happens to be married to Lew’s old girlfriend and involved with a cabaret singer.  The mob gets involved and makes things more difficult.
