Gene wants to put an end to the cattle stirring, so he is one of the first ranchers in his province to fence the open region with barbed wire .  This irritates Ginger Kirby who owns a small ranch. Sandy Reeves tries settling the dispute by lying to the men regarding the barbed wire so that he can use the region for sheep. He also wants them both out of business. Ginger’s brother, Duke Kirby helps settling their dispute. Autry soon realizes that Reeves is conniving and only wants what is beneficial towards him. Reeves manipulates everyone else on the barbed wire , which starts a huge fight.
