Dee Dee Dillwood is an heiress forced into marrying her sixth fiancée, but cannot deal with going through the wedding night, so she escapes into the next hotel room of commercial pilot Marvin Payne. She convinces him to take her to California and the passengers on their flight are a very eclectic group.
