Oliver Pease works for the newspaper and tricks the editor of the paper into having him write the day’s roving question after his wife Martha gives him encouragement on the issue since he’s tired of just writing lost pet notices. Martha helps him in developing his first question which is, "Has a little child ever changed your life?" Two musicians and an actress answer his question and from there Oliver begins to analyze everything.
