General Sir Roland Dane is filled with thoughts about his lost love, Lark, during his retirement and prefers to be left alone.  He changes his mind when his niece appears who has a relationship with Lark’s nephew.  Roland gives advice to the couple and warns them not to make the same mistake he made.
