Petey Brown is a singer who goes to visit her two sisters and brother. She finds a job at Nicky Toresca's nightclub. She ends up falling for former jazz pianist Sand Thomas, who still has not gotten over his divorce. Petey has to wait to see what Sand wants to do with his life, while she helps resolve the issues of her siblings and their next door neighbor.
