This film takes place during 1900 and revolves around a widow with a mind of her own named Lucy Muir who goes to live in Gull Cottage by the British seaside, even though it might be haunted. The rumor turns out to be true when she encounters the ghost of cantankerous Captain Gregg who was the former owner of the house and is not ready for anyone to take over his home. They eventually become friends and Lucy feels safe with a ghost haunting her home. Things change when she meets a man who is interested in her.
