The Egg and I trailer
Bob tells his new wife on their wedding night that he has purchased a chicken farm, yet it is a deserted one. Betty bears and supports Bob’s ambition with the farm, but begins to lose her patience when their beautiful neighbor Harriet Putnam begins to give Bill some attention.
This comedy was such a hit with movie audiences, it spawned the 'Ma and Pa Kettle' film series. On May 5, 1947 Claudette Colbert and Fred MacMurray starred in a radio version of this movie that was broadcast on the Lux Radio Theatre.
