Princess Mei Ling plans a trip to the Chan household, where she is greeted by Birmingham Brown. She withholds her name, but presents Birmingham her ring for Charlie Chan to see. While Chan is being requested, an unfathomable form throws a poisonous dart at the gorgeous Princess who somehow manages to write down the name 'Captain K' before she passes away. Charlie tells the police that he does not know who the beautiful woman is, but is determined to find out. He finds out that Mei Ling has brought with her the amount of one million dollars to America, so she could purchase airplanes for the Chinese freedom.
