When a famous radio star is murdered, private detective Johnny Strange (Warren Douglas) is falsely accused of the crime by his secretary, Geraldine (Adele Mara), who is actually protecting her younger sister, who is a prime suspect in the murder. Detective Lt. Webb (William Frawley) doesn't believe Geraldine's story, and Johnny is allowed to investigate the murder. He encounters many possible suspects, including a few beautiful women. Finally, Johnny concocts a plan to have all the suspects perform a radio play that will finally reveal the real killer.
