He is not satisfied with the show so he leaves with his horse in a bustle. Sue is dissatisfied with the show as well and travels back with Gene and ends up getting a job as a cook on the ranch. The studio associates come back looking for Gene after taking a look at his screen test and discover his greatness. They want to offer him a contract, but Gene is hesitant. He finally believes in Sue and signs the contract for a musical western.
