Dagwood gets himself into more problems when his neighbor wants to sue him for $500,000, when his income is only $4,000 a year at the J.C. Dithers Construction Company. He raises the money by being the guinea pig for a truth serum injection. This results in him speaking the truth at all times, which is nothing new to him. He ends up receiving a new contract at his job, along with a raise for his honesty.
