A wealthy businessman named Henry Calvert (Davison Clark) has apparently perished in an automobile crash. Bob Stewart (Robert Kent), with the State Bureau of Investigation, has been assigned to investigate what authorities believe to be foul-play, and is assisted by a newspaper reporter, Duke Ellis (Tim Ryan). There’s no shortage of suspects including nephew Curt Bennett (Bruce Donovan) and wife Rita (Jayne Hazzard), sister Sara Caldwell (Belle Mitchell ) and a mysterious woman named Ruth Allen (Amelita Ward), who is keeping mum about her relationship to the deceased though it seems to have something to do with Henry’s missing brother, Walter. Calvert's loyal housekeeper (Minerva Urecal) and butler (Charles Middleton) are also in the crosshairs of suspicion, as well as his ethically-challenged lawyer, Horace Black (Sam Flint). The killer must be caught in 15 chapters.
