A lonely maid and former G.I. encounter one another at the cottage where she works. The cottage was also the place he was supposed to spend his honeymoon before his accident that left him scarred. They decide to marry one another out of loneliness, but they begin feel the other is beautiful, but no one else. There is something romantic about the cottage.
