Joe Bagley is the owner of the Blue Heaven Club who is trying to play matchmaker between shy pianist Sandy Elliott and band vocalist June Mayfield. Joe lies to June and tells her Sandy is a professional wrestler known as 'The Devil'. The real wrestler ends up breaking his leg during a match, which leaves Sandy to sport a cast on his leg to keep with the lie. Wally Porter is also in love with June and doesn’t buy the story. More problems come Sandy’s way when the real Devil becomes engaged to another woman.
