This film centers on a beautiful princess who falls in love with an American reporter in Europe.  She hopes to run into him again when she travels to New York.  She encounters a friendly bellhop at the elegant hotel she is staying at, yet at first he thinks she is a maid.  The princess has him be her escort, not knowing that he thinks he is in love with her.  He starts to think she is really in love with him since she is so nice to him.
