Humphrey Bogart plays Richard Mason who gets into a car accident which results in a small injury for him. He makes his injury bigger than what it is, so that he doesn’t have to take a trip to the mountains with his wife Kathryn. She ends up being killed during her trip and goes to the scene of the crime to find an envelope addressed with her handwriting. What else will he find there?
