Hoppy (William Boyd) loses an election for Sherriff of Buffalo Buttes to Jerry Doyle (Kirk Alyn). Suspecting something fishy, Hoppy discovers that the election was rigged by Tad Hammond (Douglass Dumbrille) to get revenge on Hoppy who once arrested Hammond. When Hoppy confronts Hammond, Hammond hires forty outlaws to take care of Hoppy for good.
