This classic film is set during 1938, where Walter Neff is an experienced salesman of the Pacific All Risk Insurance Co. There he encounters the attractive wife of one of his clients, Phyllis Dietrichson. They begin an affair and Phyllis comes up with the idea of killing her husband in order to receive the proceeds of an accident insurance policy. Walter goes on with the plan and plans a way to receive twice the amount based on a double indemnity clause. The police find the body of Mr. Dietrichson on a train-track and believe it was an accident. The only people not believing his death was an accident are the insurance analyst and Walter’s Best friend Barton Keyes.
