This is a radio dramatization of the classic movie of the same name for Lux Radio Theater.  This is a one-hour adaptation that aired two years after the classic film was released.

Often, with Lux Radio Theater, the stars of the original film would reprise their roles in the radio adaptation, but this is one of the exceptions.  None of the original actors reprised their roles for this adaptation.
