A group of U.S. Army nurses travel to San Francisco to work in Hawaii of December 1941. The devastation on Pearl Harbor transforms their lives and changes their station to Bataan, in the Philippines. Lt. Janet Davidson leads the nurses and finds many nurses not ready for the severely wounded by the Japanese. Most of these nurses thought they were going to Hawaii to spend a relaxing time and become stressed with the work they have to deal with.
