Aunt Emma Bates is a spinster who stops by the “Big Town” to see a boxing match. The son of Emma's old fiancé, Mickey O’Banion is fighting in the match whose father was also a boxing champion. A reporter named Terry is trying to search for Rex Crenshaw who is a lawyer for gangster “Flower” Henderson who has been kidnapped by rival gang-leader Gus Hammond and is also manager to Mickey . Problems arise after the fight when Emma is believed to be a dangerous gun-woman named Ma Parker who is suspected by Hammond’s men to be working with Henderson.
