The rancher’s cattle are dying due to thirst, while Henry Dodge has a dam that holds all the water. Dodge immediately destroys the windmills once they are constructed, for they will start pumping water. When the case is brought to court, they send him to free the water. Not too happy with the verdict , he destroys the dam, resulting in flooding the rest of the valley.
