Steve Bell, Tommy, Pig, Ape and String are kicked out of their town and Steve dies after he hops on a freight card while trying to stay clear of the brakeman. The rest of the boys go to Steve’s mother, Alice Bell, where Tommy is provided with a job in the storage garage with Mack Steward who shares ownership of it with Alice. Problems arise when they learn that Steve’s brother Don Bell is working with gangsters and informing them of what can be taken from the garage. Pig, Ape, and String discover the gang plans on framing Tommy for the robbery.
