Sam Spade and Miles Archer are partners working in Spade and Archer, a San Francisco detective agency . Although they work together, Sam is not very fond of Miles. One evening, a very attractive woman by the name of Miss Wanderly comes into their office and from then problems arise. Miles and a man named Floyd Thursby turn up dead. Everything in Miss Wanderly’s world seems to be threatening. Sam is the only person she can rely on, yet the authorities suspect him for one of the murders. The killings do not stop and they are connected to the threatening men in Miss Wanderly’s life and their desire for the Maltese Falcon.
