Nick and Nora head to the race track to spend a nice day and their peaceful plan comes to an end when a jockey’s dead body is discovered in the locker room. Nick's pal Lt. Abrams wants him to assist with the murder, but Nick is too busy appreciating his fun life. He changes his mind when Major Scully comes to him and asks for his assistance in looking into the case, for exploitation and planned gambling could be involved. More murders occur and Nick groups all the suspicious men and determines the murderer.
