After his police captain friend is murdered, young Doctor Tom Brandon goes to work for the police department and takes a job as the doctor for a gang of criminals. Unable to tell his fiancee Mary Davis the real reason for his apparent criminal actions, she breaks their engagement. When Mary's life is threatened, Tom is forced to reveal his true identity, but manages to secretly tip off the Riot Squad, who arrives in force to arrest the gang.
