This twelve chapter film serial released from Republic Pictures in 1941 was adapted from the Captain Marvel comic book character.  Tom Tyler portrays Captain Marvel and Frank Coghlan Jr. portrays his alter ego, Billy Batson. 

The various serials revolve around fighting criminals, meeting wizards and being captured by the Scorpion character who later is killed and destroyed by Captain Marvel.
