The Ice Follies of 1939 trailer

Mary and Larry are a flourishing skating team who get married. Right after they marry, Hollywood comes running to Mary and gets offered a contract. Larry has nothing to do since he has no job, so to keep himself productive he goes to Canada where he persuades an old partner to start an ice modestly successful skating team. Shortly after their marriage, Marry gets a picture contract, while Larry is sitting at home, out of work. To prove that he can accomplish things on his own, he leaves Hollywood and convinces a former partner to put on an ice entertainment. The show ends up becoming popular, but leaves him with no time to spend with his wife.
