Judith Traherne has everything she wants in the world, living a very exciting life of high society until she is informed she has a brain tumor by Dr. Frederick Steele. She ends up falling in love with Steele after he performs surgery on her, but he tells her secretary the tumor will return to kill her. When Judith finds this out, she becomes unhappy and unbalanced. Michael, her horse trainer tells her to live every moment as best as she can. He also happens to be in love with her. She ends up marrying Steele, whose goal is to find a remedy for her. She begins to lose her eyesight, which is not a good sign.
