Thelma is restless from working all the time as an office girl in New York so she goes away for two weeks in the Catskills.  She is not happy with how crowded and noisy the atmosphere is, but ends up falling for Douglas Fairbanks, Jr., a waiter at the camp, who is graduated from college.  Ginger becomes insecure of how he really feels for her and so does he after she spends the night with another man, even though nothing happened.
