Bookkeeper Bob Terry (Ben Alexander) continues to date Lois (Kay Linaker), the daugher of his employer John Borden (Ralph Morgan), despite his disapproval of the relationship. After bank bonds go missing from the company, Bob is accused of the theft and sent to prison for the crime. Years later, the real thief is caught and Bob is released from prison. Filled with rage, bob plots revenge on his former employer, with the assistance of his former cellmate Todd (Eddie Acuff) and gangster Carmody (Charles Brokaw). soon the bonds go missing again, but because of his past mistake with Bob, Borden decides to take the blame and be sentenced to prison. However, Todd discovers that Carmody had stolen the bonds, and is shot by Carmody when he tries to steal the bonds back. Dying from the wound, Todd gives the bonds back to Bob and begs him to forget his need for revenge and turn the bonds in, so that Borden can go free.
