Bob paints for fun, yet is a striving artist who encounters a wealthy society girl named Julie. They marry each other and find a small apartment to live in. The couple lives a poor life, yet are content with what they have. Oscar is a close friend of theirs who is always keeping them company. Bob becomes the center of attention after a park incident. Everyone becomes interested in what he is doing and money becomes the most important thing to him. Julie and Oscar never wanted this lifestyle and wonder what has happened to Bob.
