Flagg is relocating flood victims to Gunsmoke Ranch.  The Three Mesquiteers know Flagg to be a crook and try to warn them.  They ignore the warning and improve the land only to find that it has been condemned for a new dam.

Republic Pictures made 53 Westerns in the “The Three Mesquiteers” series from 1936 to 1943, with varying casts.  The formula of three Western stars was copied in series like “The Range Busters”, “The Texas Rangers”, and “The Rough Riders”.
