Wilkens is trying to stop Maxwell from bringing in an oil well. He tried to rob Maxwell's payroll but failed in doing so, so he informs the ranchers who consecrated on Autry's consultation that the well is dry. Gene is positive that oil is in the well and since everyone is against him, he goes to the well with dynamite !
