Terry works as the chief car tester for Emery Motors and Frank is the Engineer. They both fall for Jane who has just been hired to do publicity for the company. Terry is excited for the new carburetor he has designed, but he can’t get it to work properly. Frank is assigned to help Terry with the carburetor, but Frank is not happy with the decision, knowing he’s trying to get with Jane. They end up fixing the carburetor and enter the car in the Indianapolis 500 race. Even though everything passed, Terry is still not happy.
