Western / Action

Hoppy and Johnny leave the Bar-20 ranch to work for the Tumbling-L ranch of Big John Trumbull (Sidney Blackmer). On the way they rescue Windy (George ‘Gabby’ Hayes) who will become a regular fixture in the series. Once the three reach the Tumbling-L, they realize that Trumbull isn’t someone that they want to work for. Trumbull is actually a cattle rustler running his stolen cattle through the land of another rancher. Hoppy and Johnny discover the crime when Trumbull’s men try to stop them from putting up a fence to block Trumbull’s path. When gunplay fails to stop Cassidy, Trumbull starts a stampede using dynamite . Hopalong’s solution to the stampede brings this one to an explosive climax.
