Adapted from Edgar Allen Poe's famous poem "The Raven".  A rich judge influences the intelligent and strange neurological surgeon Dr. Vollin, who is obsessed with Edgar Allen Poe, to come out of retirement, for his daughter's life is threatened by brain damage after a car accident. Vollin saves her life, but begins to see her as his "Lenore," and devises a plan to abduct her and murder her fiance' and father. He enlists the help of a man on the run from the law.
