Southern belle Elizabeth Lloyd goes against her father’s wishes when she leaves her family to marry Yankee Jack Sherman. He father is a former Confederate colonel during the Civil War and promises his family that he will never have another conversation with her again. After many years, Elizabeth comes back to town with her husband and young daughter. The young girl captivates her grumpy grandfather and tries to resolve his relationship with her mother.
