After finishing up the London case, Charlie Chan is on his way back to go on a trip to Paris. He is involved in a case for a couple of London bankers and clients who have complained that their bonds from the Lamartine Bank are fabricated. Several attempts have been made on Chan’s life, but he still has to deal with a crazy World War I veteran who is desperate for money.
