Ted “Lucky” Lorimer convinces Winnie Wharton to audition at the Intime nightclub as a singer. She becomes a big success with her pianist Tommy Blake. Tommy is in love with her, but never reveals his feelings since he feels she is in love with Lucky who is also her manager. Lucky is interested in wealthy socialite Iris Marvin, who has no interest in him. Lucky feels it’s because he does not have enough money, so he opens a gambling house to earn more money. He is thrown into jail after Iris’s brother loses $30,000 in gambling and uses his sister’s jewels to pay off what he owes. Fortunately, the butler, Morse, saw Ronnie steal the jewels and clears up Lucky’s name. She ends up marrying him, but now Winnie is left with no money after paying off a corrupt lawyer to release Lucky from prison.
