In this film, Harry Holt is accompanied by a lady friend, Marlin Arlington. Holt has plans and ideas about trying to convince Jane to go back to London. He even tries to impress Jane with the fashionable clothes and perfumes he has brought from back home with the help of Arlington. Jane is not impressed enough to return home though. Tarzan fights off the wild to keep Jane safe, but when he does not allow the exploration to salvage the ivory, he ends up with a bullet from the gun of Arlington.
