Shirley Temple was easily the most popular and famous child star of all time.  She got her start in the movies at the age of three and soon progressed to super stardom.  Shirley could do it all: act, sing and dance and all at the age of five!  Fans loved her as she was bright, bouncy, and cheerful in her films.


Dora's Dunking Doughnuts

Andy Wilson is a schoolteacher who has a routine of stopping by in the morning at Dora's Home Bakery for his coffee and donuts. Today he finds himself talking more than usual, he ends up being late to school for the very first time. Dora informs him later on that day about her delicious new donuts she has just made. Andy is so fascinated with the donuts, he comes up with an idea to incorporate his students in assisting him on a radio commercial to sell Dora’s delicious donuts.

Shirley Temple plays the role of Madame Cradlebait, a missionary determined to cultivate the savages in the jungle. Tired from her journey, she sets up camp but doesn't have time to rest because the natives appear immediately.  Her crew runs away in fright and she is captured and thrown into a big black kettle on the fire.  Screaming for help, she is rescued by a jungle boy on an elephant.  Enlisting his help, they set off to build a city in the jungle and convert the natives.


Merrily Yours

Mary Lou is happy because it's her brother's birthday.  He wants a motorcycle but his father buys a dog instead.  The dog wasn't really a birthday present since the father wanted a hunting dog for himself.  After arguing with his father, the boy runs away but when he's outside and alone in the dark he thinks how good it would be to have a dog.


The Pie-Covered Wagon

A short film about a wagon train full of children going through the Plains. They end up getting captured by the Indians. All the actors are children in diapers and Shirley Temple ends up getting tied up by the Indians.

Sonny needs the help of his pals and his pesky little sister, Mary Lou, to get out of this one.
