While sailing in the pacific, Steve Drexel, a wealthy yachtsman, bets his friends that he can swim ashore a deserted island with nothing but a toothbrush and, after one year, can be found by them living a comfortable lifestyle. After the bet is accepted, Drexel and his dog arrive on a South Seas island and set up an amazing home, through the use of some incredible hand-made devices and the training of some local animals. To complicate the situation, a native woman arrives on the island, trying to escape from an arranged marriage, with her relatives in pursuit.
