Released in 1932 by MGM, Hook and Ladder is a comedy short directed by Robert F. McGowan in the Our Gang / Little Rascals series of films.
The gang is proud to respond when the local Fire Chief calls for volunteers. Getting into the spirit of the thing , they get busy and form their own fire department. They cobble together uniforms for themselves, install a fire pole, and even have an alarm system – powered by a dog and cat.
When the gang gets a chance to put out a fire they fly to the rescue on their custom-made fire engine!
