When a man escapes the mental asylum where he has been for many years, expecting to be reunited with his wife and family, he finds that his wife has divorced him during his hospitalization. The wife is engaged to be married, as is his daughter. Upon learning that the mental illness may be hereditary, the daughter sends her fiance away.
