Fisherman Pete and lawyer Philip come from a different life and have different views on life, yet have remained close friends since they were young on the Isle of Man. Pete has plans on marrying Kate, who is the landlord’s daughter at the neighborhood motel. Kate’s father is not fond of Pete and thinks Kate can do better. Pete being aware of his feelings leaves Kate in the hands of Philip to see if he can make money elsewhere. Kate and Philip start to have feelings for one another.
