It’s 1874 and young Dave Carson and his colt Rex are part of a wagon train. When Indians attack and wipe out the train the two escape, going separate ways. Six years later Dave is a scout for the Army and Rex in the Devil Horse greatly feared by the Indians. The two will meet again and Dave will need Rex when Indians attack the fort.

Hollywood’s most renowned stunt man and second unit director, Yakima Canutt also starred in a series of silent westerns, two of which are presented here. In sound films Yak doubled John Wayne, Clark Gable and other stars while perfecting stunts involving falls, fights, horses, runaway wagons, etc.
