Little Mickey Daniels’ overprotective mother keeps him from playing with the rest of Our Gang kids. His grandma understands he needs to play with his friends, so she allows him to leave his bedroom only to get into a fight with bully Johnny Downs. His grandma tells him to defend himself from Johnny and when he confronts Johnny, Mickey ’s mom is there to see everything and is pleased to see her son defending himself.
