The Buccaneers was released by Pathé in 1924 and is a silent comedy short film directed by Robert F. McGowan and Mark Goldaine. It is one of the Our Gang / Little Rascals series.
After deciding that they want to be pirates the gang builds their own ship and prepare to launch, but it sinks right away. Stating that girls and pirates don’t go together, the gang blames Mary. Seeing her rejection by the boys, Captain Whelan on his fishing boat invites her aboard and, with their ship sunk, the boys clamber aboard too. While they are checking out the fishing boat their dog unties it from the dock and it drifts out into the harbor where the gang enjoys the adventure of it all until being rescued by the Navy.
